What is telemedicine?

It is a way to connect with Dr. Fruchtman to receive treatment (virtually) from the safety and comfort of your home.

Is telemedicine the right option for you?

Based upon your medical need, Dr. Fruchtman will discuss and evaluate all options to give you the best care. If your problem is urgent or an emergency, we will offer you an in-person exam.

What do I need for my telemedicine visit?

A cell phone, tablet or computer with a working microphone and camera.

How do I connect?

If using your cell phone, download the Zoom app prior to your appointment, or you may request to use FaceTime instead, if using an iPhone. If your appointment is via a computer, Dr. Fruchtman will send you a link to connect with him.

How do I schedule a telemedicine appointment?

Call the office at 201.728.9222 and we’ll schedule your appointment just like an in-office visit. Or, visit our website to schedule an appointment, and someone will call you back to schedule the telemedicine appointment.

Is the telemedicine visit covered by insurance?

As a result of recent changes announced by the government, many insurance companies now cover telemedicine services according to the applicable benefits, and may be subject to a copay or deductible just as a regular office visit would be. Our office will help you determine if your telemedicine visit is covered. When calling to make an appointment, please have your insurance information ready.

What if I’m a new patient?

Telemedicine and emergency visits are available for new patients.

If you’re a new patient, please click here to access the new patient forms. The forms will need to be printed to be filled out. If you aren’t able to print out the forms, don’t worry, just have the information ready, and Dr. Fruchtman will review your history with you during your virtual visit. If you are able to print the forms, please complete them prior to your virtual visit and send a picture to the office via email.

In addition, please send a picture of the front and back of your insurance card. Don’t worry, we’ll walk you through how to do this, if you don’t know how.

Both the paperwork and insurance card can be emailed to: njeyedr@gmail.com
