To our valued patients,
On behalf of everyone at Dr. Fruchtman’s, we hope this note finds you & your loved ones staying well & healthy.
Since the beginning of March, only emergency patients were being seen at Dr. Fruchtman’s office. We’re happy to report that we’ve returned to a normal schedule seeing all appointment types and emergencies.
To help alleviate any concerns you may have about coming to our office, here is an overview of the measures we are taking to make sure your visit is as safe as possible.
Cleaning: We’ve implemented CDC-approved safety protocols. Our waiting room, exam rooms and all public spaces are being cleaned frequently throughout the day with medical-grade sanitizers and antibacterial agents. Hand sanitizer is available for patients and staff.
What Should Our Patients Expect: All appointment scheduling (201.728.9222) will include COVID-19-related questions. Patients will not be scheduled (or allowed to enter our office) if they exhibit any combination of the following: fever, new shortness of breath, dry cough, feel sick. To be seen you will need to be symptom-free for at least 14 days without the use of cough- or fever-suppressing medications.
You will be required to wear a PPE facial mask or cloth (an example: bandanna) covering your nose and mouth.
Everyone entering our office will be screened for a fever. If you aren’t feeling well, have a fever and/or your screening questions suggest you should reschedule, you may choose to have a telemedicine appointment.
Please complete all required paperwork prior to coming to the office. If paperwork is pending, you may be required to complete it in your car. Our goal is to keep you and everyone safe. .
Social Distancing: Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients and will be organized to reduce patient-to-patient interaction. Our waiting room will be closed. We ask that all non-patient and family members, etc. wait in their cars while patients are being treated to keep the number of people in the office to a minimum, with the exception for minors or patients needing an adult caregiver. You will be called when you are ready to be seen, and you will be met at the office door to be checked in.
Our Staff: Our staff will be required to wear masks and be screened daily for COVID-19 symptoms. If anyone is exhibiting any symptoms, they will be quarantined according to CDC guidelines before returning to work.
Telemedicine: We will continue to offer telemedicine for any patients who wish to receive treatment (virtually) from the safety and comfort of their home. If you prefer to have a telemedicine appointment, please click here for more information.
We look forward to seeing you and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we are taking to keep everyone safe.
