Eye care is personal, and being able to communicate comfortably with your eye doctor matters.
DR. WILLIAM FRUCHTMAN, O.D.
Dr. William Fruchtman has been caring for patients and their families for more than 30 years. A New Jersey native, he believes that good eye care begins with listening to patients, taking their concerns seriously, and making sure they understand what is happening with their vision and eye health.
Dr. Fruchtman provides comprehensive eye care for adults and children, from routine eye examinations and contact lenses to the diagnosis and management of glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, dry eye disease, and other medical eye conditions. He uses advanced diagnostic technology to help detect changes in the eyes as early as possible and believes strongly in taking the time to explain examination findings and treatment options to his patients.
Dr. Fruchtman speaks English, Spanish, and Polish, allowing many patients to communicate directly with their doctor in the language they feel most comfortable speaking.
His connection to Poland is personal. His father was born a Polish citizen, he speaks Polish, and he has been fortunate to care for many Polish families over the years. As he has learned more about his family history, that connection has come to mean even more to him.
A graduate of the University of Virginia, Dr. Fruchtman received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in 1991.
Outside the office, Dr. Fruchtman enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, kayaking, bike riding, attending Broadway shows, and exploring new places with his wife, Alissa.
