Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. I was taken in for my exam right away and was really explained what could be wrong. I felt very conformable and everyone helped me 100% with all of my needs.

I impulsively wanted to get new glasses but wanted to make sure my prescription hadn't changed since the last time I was at (a different) eye doctor. I called around to doctors who took Medicaid and Dr. Fruchtman's office not only accepted my insurance but was also able to get me an appointment the same day, within hours. His office is easy to get to, find parking in, and easy to find once in the building. The elevator is quick, smooth, and quiet for those who have elevator anxiety, and there's an all-window, not creepy stairway in the front of the building too. Anyway, both receptionists were so lovely and I was seen immediately. Dr. Fruchtman has wonderful chair-side manner and introduced me to his dog-tor, Max. He explained everything he did and the exam took all of 10 minutes. I work with cutting/grinding glass a lot and he took the time to not only answer my question about what to do if glass gets in my eye, but pulled up some videos of foreign object removal (not for the faint of heart lol) and suggested eye rinses. Then I was taken to pick out a pair of glasses, and Lisa gave me lots of options and provided an honest opinion about which glasses looked good with my face shape, hair color, etc. which I really appreciated. For my insurance at least, frames ranged from free to $45 at most I believe. I originally was just going to get frames at Eyebuydirect or somewhere else, but I wound up getting a (free!) pair at the office. The turnaround was so quick. My appointment was end of day on a Tuesday and my glasses were ready midday Thursday. If I could give this office 10 stars I would! Thanks again!

I've been going to Dr. Fruchtman for 3 years now. It's always easy to get an appointment, the office is nice, lots of parking, and no wait once you're there. The secretary is very helpful and Dr. Fruchtman is very knowledgeable, thorough, and friendly. I'd definitely recommend Dr. Fruchtman for anyone looking for a great local eye doctor!

I’ve been seeing dr Fructman for years since he was in Secaucus at the mill creek mall. Great family vibe in the office and he has later hours which helps in with a busy work schedule. He always makes his patients feel comfortable and love that he has the family dogs there it sets nice relaxing tone. Lisa was great with helping pick out glasses too.

I recently visited Dr. Fruchtman because my eyes were bothering me, and I was long overdue for an exam. I could not be happier with the care I received. Not only the Dr but his staff of ladies were extremely welcoming and friendly. Immediately, I felt at home. Dr Fruchtman has two assistants who are ABSOLUTELY the most loveable and gentle assistants around. The moment you walk in, one of them, Max, will greet you at the door and want a good belly rub!!!

I’ve been going to Dr. Fruchtman for years. I love that it’s so easy to make an appointment, especially for someone like me who always does it last minute. They’re always able to accommodate me and work with my schedule. The wait is usually pretty minimal. Dr. Fruchtman is also extremely thorough in his examination. Aside from Dr. Fruchtman, his office staff is also super friendly. Last but not least, sometimes Dr. Fruchtman brings his dog to the office so that just makes it better. So, overall, I can’t recommend this office more.

Dr. Fruchtman and his team are incredible. I work in healthcare and I have never received such personal care and attention. I woke up in the middle of the night with both eyes swollen shut and feeling extreme stinging pain in both my eyes. My normal optometrist couldn't get me in until later that afternoon but Dr. Fruchtman's office was able to get me in that same morning. Once there, he and his staff treated me with such care and compassion. It also helped that they have an office therapy dog who certainly helped to keep me calm! Dr. Fruchtman was away for the next several days, but he personally checked in with me frequently to make sure my eyes were okay and that the treatment we started was working. Thank you again for Dr. Fruchtman, Lisa, and Carolina for the phenomenal care!

Dr. Fruchtman is not only a great optometrist, but an incredible educator, who takes his time to explain everything (i.e test results) in detail with me and my family members. We have been going to him and his incredibly friendly staff for years (shoutout to Lisa at the front desk!) who go above and beyond to make sure we get the services that we need. We always feel welcome at his office with their affinity for different languages. I am also very grateful for the patience and understanding they show my father, who struggles with English, as they take their time to explain things and make him feel welcome at the office. Excellent examine and solution I was lucky to get an appointment regarding my left eye. He thoroughly examined the eye, my vision and asked if the pimple was bothering me. I said yes and he immediately and carefully lanced the pimple and treated the area. He then gave me a prescription for antibiotic drops. He was professional, thorough, helpful and great attitude and sense of humor

A great choice for a first time... Dr Fruchtman is a great choice for a first time visit. He’s patient and meticulous with refraction tests, Optomology cataract analysis and macular degeneration battery of tests. I got a chance to try out the progressive 1-day multi focal Acuvue, Oasys max as well, which although expensive were a great choice to try out. Until we can sound the all-clear, this doctor cares! 10/28/22 office visit I found the office staff professional and pleasant and the doctor, as always, takes his time and is very thorough and helpful in explaining test results.

Adorable dog that roams around the office and is very sweet. There was virtually zero wait time which is so very refreshing in ANY doctors office. Staff was helpful in showing frame options. Would go back again.

A happy mother My daughter had a fear of the eye doctor even after she was told this was one of the best exams she would receive. I explained my concerns and they used pictures to help her identify her vison. Dr. Fruchtman was great and made the experience for her a lasting one. The receptionist remembered the conversation from when we setup the appointment and was able to accommodate my daughter. She engaged her and set her nerves at ease. Also/told my daughter they were going shopping and it was a blast despite my daughters short attention span. They explained everything clearly from how to get to the location to the process and procedures. Overall 5 star treatment

Convenience/great service & more. This office is awesome - I called on a Monday to make an appointment I've been putting off for over 10 years/and was in the office on Wednesday. Since they take Horizon NJ and are down the street from me/the convenience was much appreciated - and the way that I was in the exam seat AT the time of my appointment and out 12 minutes later was amazing. Being able to fill out the forms online made it so that I didn't have to spend extra time in a doctor's office during a pandemic and didnt have to cramp my hand filling out forms. My temperature was taken and I was given a squirt of hand sanitizer before entering. My only disappointment is that I don't need glasses - so the only well run doctor's office I've been to in years isn't one I have to frequent! Definitely go here.

First time seeing Dr. Fruchtman Dr. Fruchtman was fantastic. I went to him after having dissatisfaction with another optometrist. He was so so pleasant and so very easy to talk with and he explained everything to me as we went along. I explained to him that I was surviving on just a disability check and there was no pressure whatsoever to try to upsell me on anything. His office staff was very nice also. Superb Care! Superb Care! I've been going to Dr. Fruchtman for over 20 years and wouldn't consider going to anyone else/even though there are plenty of good optometrists a lot closer to me. I can't say I'd travel to the ends of the earth for an appointment with Dr. F./but pretty close! He is professional/thorough/and caring. Good eyesight is critical to me and I have some unique needs which Dr. F. has addressed beautifully. He's not there just to do a quick exam and sell expensive glasses. He makes me feel that my complete visual wellbeing is his top priority. I can't say more good stuff about the practice/but I can say one thing to you: Just GO!

I had to take my 10yr old for her first eye exam. Dr Fruchtman was wonderful with her and very patient with my 3yr old constantly talking. I was away for my regularly scheduled appoitnment but as soon as I returned I stopped in to reschedule my appointment and to my surprise/the Doctor took me at that time. I had my follow up exam and was pleased to have it without any inconvenience to my schedule. The staff and Doctor are very accommodating.

Dr. Fruchtman is highly competent and patient Dr. Fruchtman made me feel at ease and answered many questions regarding an issue I had been dealing with for years. I struggle with eye dryness and astigmatism/and have tried wearing contact lenses on and off with no luck. Dr. Fruchtman was willing to order and try quite a few different companies with various prescriptions at no additional cost. Dr. Fruchtmans site allowed you to request appointments online and in the comment section, I expressed how bad I was feeling and didn’t know what else to do. It was pretty late and I didn’t expect any call back until the next day. But no, Dr. Fruchtman called that night and guided me with the instructions to care for my eyes until I could be seen! This might not be a big deal for some, but when your in pain to the point of tears, a doctor you’ve never met takes the time to call AND help, your forever grateful. He went about and beyond what most doctors do. Even visiting his office was a great experience! This guy is lively and entertaining and takes the time to explain everything down to the insurance. You don’t feel rushed. You don’t feel awkward. You just feel like a buddy is checking out your eyes. His care was amazing and I received my contacts the next day! Great experience!! Dr. Fruchtman sensed that I was nervous as I haven't seen an optometrist in ages. He quickly put me at ease with humor and kindness. During the exam he spent a lot of time perfecting his determination of my vision needs and I had some eye opening results that pointed to some complicated changes in my vision. I'm addressing now so that I can see better/thanks to this doctor. Bonus: He must speak like five languages! Family visit We'd visited 2 days in a row; the first was an appointment just set up for my son and there was an issue with insurance so we had to reschedule. We really liked the dr that day he seemed very nice and great with the kids. After we decided to cancel our (adult) visits we had scheduled with another office and we'd all go see him. The next day we went back/got there 25 minutes early because I knew there'd be paperwork and the dr seemed off. I don't know if something happened or he was annoyed with us for something but we were rushed through the entire visit/moved in and out of 3 different rooms; from an office to the waiting room to another room so that he could bring another patient in. He was also very short with our kids.

I enjoyed this visit I enjoyed this visit. Dr. Fruchtman was amazing with my 7 year old son. He was upbeat/funny and very personable. My son is on the autism spectrum and has adhd and he knew exactly how to handle him. I will definitely refer my family and friends to him and I will definitely be seeing him again for my son's needs. The best part about this whole experience was even when I called for an appointment on a Tuesday/he gave me an appointment for 2 days later. I didn't have to wait weeks to get squeezed in. And he 05/seem busy but he is a great multitasker and the appointment didn't take long at all. I wish every doctor would be like this.

Hi/I was a little confused by being told the next time I have an appt Hi/I was a little confused by being told the next time I have an appt. I would have to pay for an office visit or be sent to another office. I know this insurance is not a good one but its all I have at the moment. I do not have the money for that (hence the kind of insurance I have) and I do not drive so going to an office in another town is not an option for me. I also felt rushed to choose an eyeglass frame/your assistant did not want to leave me alone even to greet the next person who came in. So if I have to pay for future services I will just get my new glasses when they are ready and look for another eye doctor...unless I misunderstood you. Thank you/Anna Scala
